Boat wrap

We have been working on wrapping a boat in preparation for the Southampton boat show to effect a colour change to the boat hull. By applying the MACTAC TuningFilm 700 BF sublim 719-19 ocean adict blue it has changed the off white hull to a stunning deep navy effect making it look very impressive. In the example shown here we applied the vinyl in long strips along the side of the hull of the Greenline 39 above the anti foul paint. The wrap is applied around the back as well to ensure a consistent look. We used 3M knifeless tape as part of the preparation to ensure that blades did not touch the hull surface.

The ideal nature of applying the wrap is that it does allow some protection to the surface below and can be removed should the boat require a return to the original colour or in preparation to be wrapped again. It is also worth noting that wrapping a boat will give a beautiful finish and may save you money over repainting the hull. Please note that to wrap a boat hull can take a few days especially if the boat is outside due to weather conditions.
