Wall graphics for hotel interior design

Design brief : Design wall graphic for a hotel bedroom, describing the key features of a signature wine on offer. 

Materials used : Mactac champagne matt vinyl cut using Roland VS-540i and applied direct to Farrow and Ball painted walls.

We were commissioned to create a design solution for a hotel bedroom that fitted into a space of just over 3m wide. The client was looking for a design which would work both as an informative piece and an attractive graphic feature wall, describing one of the key wines that the hotel sold.

Using the width to maximise impact, we had to work with the varying heights of natural obstructions such as a sofa and tall lights, yet also match the tone of the newly refurbished room. Material choice was important and the Mactac matt champagne vinyl we used produced a beautifully subtle sparkly finish which shifted slightly depending on the light. The result was a expensive look in keeping with a 5 star hotel. 

We also cut to shape the matching wine bottle and glass, installed in the mini bar area to add an extra effect.

Due to the size of the installation we had to cut the vinyl in sections before apply a low tack release tape to aid with the installation. This allowed us to work with relatively fresh paint without damaging the surface.
